The Navistar has been customized to a surf charter vessel and was launched in 1998 in Australia and started charters in the Mentawais in 1999. She is powered by a Mitsubishi 190Hp diesel engine which will go anywhere anytime. She is fully air conditioned right throughout the vessel to whatever temperature you would like. The accommodation sleeps 8 passengers quite comfortably and there are plenty of nice roomy areas to hang out.
Navistar has two tenders. One for transfers to and from the surf and the other an aliminimum 5.4m speedboat, with a four stroke 80hp for those who like to fish or search for other waves. On board you will find fishing gear, from trolling rods, spinning rods, hand lines to spear guns to catch those big fish for sport and fun, so you can sample the local or western cuisine cooked by the chef with 3 meals served daily after hard days of surfing the Mentawais.
Navistar has been serving surfers in the Mentawais for 15 years and the boat is ideally outfitted for the purpose. We understand how to treat surfers and live up to their expectations. Accessing uncrowded waves and being able to relax in comfort are paramount.
